Camelot
A groovy selection of Centennial homes built by Fox & Jacobs
Several small bodies of water that run straight through the neighborhood are framed by rows of primarily Traditional and midcentury modern ranch homes. Most residences were built during the Fox & Jacobs heydays, which took place between the 1970s and mid-1990s. Generally, prices fall between $250,000 and $750,000, depending on the property's living space, which typically ranges from 1,400 to 4,100 square feet and offers three to five bedrooms. Camelot-area folks take pride in their homes, which is made apparent by the Camelot Neighborhood Association Yard of the Month winners' immaculate lawns. Yard of the Month isn't the only contest sponsored by the voluntary association. The annual neighborhood picnic and chili cook-off, held in the fall, provides Camelot residents another opportunity for friendly competition and neighborly camaraderie.Getting in and around Camelot

Harris Section of the Spring Creek Greenbelt, which has a dinosaur-themed playground, a short paved trail and a pond with a fishing pier. Dog-friendly Huffhines Park is less than 5 miles from the neighborhood's western side. For those days when sitting at the park is too hot, residents head to Hawaiian Waters Garland. Residents can cool off in the Texas heat by rushing down the park's long slides, swimming in an expansive wave pool and floating along a winding lazy river. Other outdoor activities include a round of golf at Firewheel Golf Park, which consists of the Old Course, the Lakes Course and the Bridges Course. The Bridges Course is the newest, with 27 holes among rolling hills and large oak trees.
Malls, bars and restaurants are accessible via President George Bush Turnpike
Located within the neighborhood on Apollo Road is The Factory Kitchen. The nearby Cali Saigon Mall has a Vietnamese supermarket, food court and specialty shops selling unique Asian products. The outdoor mall of Firewheel Town Center has a small park at the center, with leafy trees and a fountain-fed stream. Popular stores like Dick's Sporting Goods, DSW and Old Navy are among other specialized stores. Wildwood serves laid-back meals in a comfortable setting alongside a wide selection of cocktails and beer, hanger steak, shrimp and grits. For groceries, Walmart Neighborhood Market is just off Murphy Road, and Target is on North Garland Avenue.
