What began as a 30-acre mobile home park in the 1960s is now a desirable suburban city within the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Despite being just a 20-minute drive from the whirl of downtown Dallas, Glenn Heights retains its small-town vibe with quiet neighborhoods and attractive homes. "Glenn Heights is small-town living near the big city," says Anne Foster, a Realtor with Dave Perry Miller Real Estate who has over 34 years of experience in the Dallas area. "It's close enough to Dallas for commuting, but it's a smaller community where people feel like they know each other."

Suburban Dallas homes built between the 1980s and 2000s
Most Glenn Heights homes are variations of the new traditional style with brick exteriors and attached two-car garages. Home sizes range from around 1,500 to a little over 4,000 square feet, with three to five bedrooms, and prices typically fall between $275,000 and $630,000. "Glenn Heights home prices tend to be a little more affordable than other areas, and buyers can get newer homes there," Foster says. "And when I say newer, I mean many were built in the 2000s. So, they're new enough to have modern features like open floor plans and tall ceilings, but they're old enough for homeowners to still update and make them their own if they want to."
