Newly built Contemporary Spanish-style homes are around the intersection of G Road and 12th Street. “The town is growing, and lots of apartment buildings are being built,” says Dustie McGowen, Leasing Specialist at The Slate on 25 Apartments. “A lot of people need housing for CMU. Grand Junction is like a retirement town with college students, and it’s expanding.” The average home sale price is up 8% from the previous year, indicating a healthy market. Homes typically range from $350,000 to $950,000. A three-bedroom Craftsman home can span from $350,000 to $800,000, while a four-bedroom contemporary home can cost between $450,000 to $900,000.
