The Greeley Stampede runs for around two weeks every summer and hosts a rodeo, carnival rides and live music, with prominent artists over the years, from Taylor Swift to Old Dominion. “The Greeley Stampede is the premier event in town every year,” says Chuck Bowles, a local Realtor with Austin & Austin Real Estate who has worked in the area for decades. “People who grew up here but moved away come back to town for the event. It’s almost like a class reunion.” Another popular summertime event is Friday Fest. “They close 9th Street to traffic and locals bring lawn chairs to listen to live music while enjoying a drink from one of the nearby bars,” Bowles says.Celebrating Hispanic culture at UNC
