A close-knit west Greeley suburb
Kelly Farm is a modern Greeley suburb, where residents enjoy private amenities and access to the scenic Poudre River Trail. Located 5 miles west of downtown Greeley, the area is a quiet residential pocket relatively new to the city’s housing scene. “Kelly Farm has only been around for about 25 years,” says Chuck Bowles, a Realtor with Austin & Austin Real Estate and Kelly Farm resident. “It’s a close-knit area full of small subdivisions. Our Homeowners Association puts on events at the clubhouse that bring community members together. People get together for the holidays and help one another in times of need.”
Modern architecture and HOA regulations
Most of the neighborhood’s homes were built in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with new developments underway in the community’s southwest corner. “When Kelly Farm was first being developed, it was a requirement for each home to have at least one tree in the front yard,” says Bowles. “So most of the streets are lined with trees that have been standing for at least a decade. I walk a 2-mile loop from my home a couple times a week, and it's nice to look at the greenery and be under the shade of the trees.” Modern traditional and craftsman-style homes make up most of the architectural scene in Kelly Farm, with prices ranging from $400,000 to $700,000. There is also a selection of townhomes on the neighborhood's southside, which can go for $375,000 and $650,000. “Residents have to follow certain HOA guidelines,” Bowles says. “You can’t keep an RV or trailer in your driveway, and your front yard needs to be upkept. The restrictions are worth the benefits of living in a beautifully maintained neighborhood.”
