"It's a quiet neighborhood, but you're close to everything," says Sydney Abbott-Torrence of Gold Mile Investments, a real estate consultant working in and around the area. "Shopping, restaurants, fantastic parks — you've got it all close by."

Homes in Friendly Acres North are large, with eye-catching architecture specific to each home. Various architectural influences can be found in the area, including Georgian, Tudor Revival, Colonial Revival, Cape Cod and more. "It's a bit of an older neighborhood, so there's a lot of differences in architecture," says Tate. Each home offers at least 3,500 square feet, with some million-dollar listings reaching the 6,000 point. Many houses boast opulent features like grand foyers, in-ground backyard pools, three-car garages and French door entryways. Several homes for sale in the area are fitted with Smart Home technology as well. While most properties are just under a half-acre, residents make full use of the space's potential, with landscaping a notable community trait. "Each home has very established landscaping and mature trees," says Tate. Trimmed bushes, tiered gardens and colorful azaleas are scattered between mature oak and maple trees. Home prices in the area range from $570,000 to $930,000. "The market is strong and competitive here," says Sheila Sanders, a Realtor with Re/Max Realty Consultants. "It's a very established neighborhood where the houses are not necessarily that cookie-cutter type."

The center is adjacent to Jaycee Park, home of Stoner-White Stadium, a baseball venue built for youth tournaments.
