Harrison, Ohio’s history dates back to 1850, but much of its story is just beginning. Despite the city’s age, it has seen a population growth, and according to the U.S. Census Bureau, its population grew by 3,000 people from 2010 to 2020 and has continued since. It has been spurned by the completion of Interstate 74, which makes the 20-mile commute into Cincinnati more manageable. “It’s one of the fastest-growing areas of Hamilton County, says Bill Lutts, a Realtor with Align Right Realty Infinity.” You still get that country feel, but it’s close enough to the city and airport to be convenient. It’s a great place to live.”
The city offers several outdoor recreation options and proximity to the Whitewater River. While it's possible to commute to Cincinnati work, Harrison's top employers include JTM Food Group, F&M Mafco and Hubert.

New construction homes continue to pop up
Another draw is the chance to purchase a new construction property. Most of the current development is happening in the northeast part of the city. Existing subdivision spring from the center of town and feature range of architecture-styles, including ranch-style homes, split-levels and traditional properties. The median single-family home price is $345,000, lower than the U.S. median price. “There’s a blend of every kind of housing style,” Lutts says. “If you’re looking for a million-dollar home, you won’t find that. But first-time home buyers can still find something here. There are pockets of condos and new construction among other single-family homes built from the 1970s through the 2000s.”
