Simple homes on Hattiesburg's eastside

Houses can range in price from $60,000 to $150,000. Forrest County and the surrounding region are prone to tornados, flooding, and other severe weather conditions that may affect insurance premiums.Building up Vernon Dahmer Park
Vernon Dahmer Park, just south of the community, was awarded a grant from T-Mobile to rebuild the pavilion after a fire. The funds will also go towards constructing Hattiesburg's second inclusive playground. The park includes a seasonal pool as well as basketball and tennis courts. Local youth and adult sports leagues often play games on the baseball and softball diamonds. The See Spot Run Dog Park is a few blocks north of the neighborhood on Pine Street.Learning in Hattiesburg Public School District
Children in kindergarten to fifth grade can attend Rowan Elementary. Sixth graders head to Hattiesburg STEAM Academy, which neighbors N.R. Burger Middle. Each school has a C-plus grade from Niche.Juneteenth Parade and Celebration and downtown events

"Hattiesburg Library hosts things for all different age groups." Clark also says that downtown has other entertainment options, such as films and shows at Saenger Theater or axe throwing at Alley Cats.Visiting Mt. Olive Baptist Church and Forrest General

The closest major medical facility, Forrest General Hospital, is about 3 miles west along U.S. 49. There is also a community clinic inside Lillie Burney Learning Center, less than a mile away. Public bus stops line down Country Club Road and Martin Luther King Avenue.Shopping at Sullivan Grocery and Dirt Cheap

A Walmart Supercenter and the Cloverleaf Center shopping mall are on the other side of the U.S. 49 interchange, about 2 miles away. The retail hub contains Dirt Cheap discount stores and restaurants such as Cadillac Pig. Many head 2 miles downtown for more dining, like the popular Hattiesburgers and Blues or The Porter Public House.
