Interstate 66 and OmniRide connect residents to nearby cities
While Haymarket is often considered part of the D.C. suburbs, it's not the quickest commute to the Capitol. Piedmont South is close to where the houses stop, and the farmland starts. Downtown DC and central suburbs like Arlington and Alexandria are all roughly 45 miles away, however, it’s an easier commute to the western suburbs: Centreville and Manassas are within 15 miles. To get there, residents take Interstate 66, which runs along the south side of the neighborhood, or OmniRide buses, which stop along Heathcote Boulevard.
