The elementary schools that students around Helena Valley West Central attend vary quite a bit based on where they live, but the B-minus-rated Rossiter is one option. The Head Lane, Tumbleweed and Norris Road trailheads wind through the Scratchgravel Hills Recreation Area, providing views of an expanse with a 5,233-foot peak. The trails are open to equestrians, for those in the area who own horses. Residents are about 10 miles from Lake Helena, a popular place to fish for species like walleye. Helena Valley West Central is also roughly 20 miles from the Great Divide ski area. “Which is super nice,” Andriolo says. Great Divide is 1,500 acres and has a 7,330-foot-tall summit.
Local fairgrounds is a hub for area events
The 160-acre Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds, just outside of Helena Valley West Central, hosts multiple events every month. The schedule ranges from the Jordan World Circus in April to the Last Chance Stampede & Fair in July. The Last Chance Stampede includes a rodeo and live music.
