Midcentury homes and Mobile Estates Park
Many of Lankershim's properties are midcentury ranch-style homes. Later builds include homes from the 1980s and 1990s with Spanish-style elements like red clay roof tiles and stucco exteriors. Single-family homes of approximately 1,000 to 1,700 square feet range from $350,000 to $522,000.
Manufactured homes can go from about $38,000 to $200,000, with land lease fees of about $700 to $1,000. Those priced on the high end will be larger or in a gated community. Mobile Estates Park offers a pool, two laundry facilities and a car wash. "We don't rent, we sell the homes," says Jasmine Rodriguez, community manager for Mobile Estates. She says proximity to nearby schools is a plus. Since it's an all-ages community, family activities are important. "There's a clubhouse for events. People have birthday parties here; we plan events for kids, and there's a pool room."
The manufactured home communities offer amenities such as pool and gated security.
