Many seek out Avenues West because of its proximity to downtown Hopkins. “The housing market is strong and competitive,” says Billiet, who has over 30 years of real estate experience in the area. “Correctly priced homes often sell within seven to ten days and receive multiple offers.” With a median sales price of $405,000, homes in this area are comparable to the average property in the U.S. Prices here can vary from depending on size and location and can range from as low as $300,000 for a two-bedroom ranch-style to upwards of $500,000 for a four-bedroom Craftsman with updated amenities. Most homes here were constructed in the 1950s, and the architecture is reflective of that era. Here, potential buyers can choose from ranch-style, Craftsman and Cape Cod designs. The neighborhood is primarily residential and consists of established single-family residences. The streets in Avenues West follow a traditional grid-like pattern, with slight elevation leading to Hilltop Park in the northwest corner.
