It's right off 311, and unfortunately, it is hit or miss with the flood zones," says Realtor Beau Toups with Century 21 Action Realty. The community is excellent for those who may want a larger or more updated home but don't want to be too far from the action. It's also home to some excellently rated schools and well-kept parks, so families may be attracted to moving to this section of Houma.

Alternatively, larger homes and mansions with Cape Cod or Neoclassical-inspired exteriors are priced between $470,000 and $800,000. There's also a small townhouse community on Bayou Black, where prices are typically between $270,000 and $300,000. "This community is close to our major retail areas, which is a plus," says Realtor and resident Liz Hebert with Coldwell Banker.
