Webster's Park hosts summertime events
Near the downtown district is Webster’s Park, home of the summertime Music in the Park series. By the southern city limits is Thompson Memorial Park, equipped with several play structures for the little ones. The playing fields at Will Carleton Park can be found along the city's northern edge. The city is also home to the Hudson Trail System, a network of paved trails useful for hikers, bikers and joggers. And while it is a 14-mile drive from the town, Lake Hudson State Recreation Area is another place to enjoy the outdoors, from its fishing spots and swimming beach to a dark sky preserve perfect for stargazing.

Breakfast is a hoot at Karen's Uptown Kafe
There are several spots to stop by for a hearty meal, and one such place is at Karen’s Uptown Kafe. Since 2004, this mom-and-pop restaurant has been serving homemade breakfasts and lunches in a funky owl-themed dining space. On weekends, shoppers can make trips to Hudson Market House for groceries or browse Hudson’s several small businesses for items such as secondhand treasures, soaps and floral arrangements.

Downtown Christmas Parade is a local tradition
The Hudson Chamber of Commerce takes pride in the events it organizes for the community. In the summertime, residents can look forward to hearing live music every Thursday at Webster’s Park. The Saturday before Halloween is always the date for Downtown Trick-or-Treating, and during the holidays, there is also the Downtown Christmas Parade. Hudson Carnegie District Library holds reading programs. Residents can try Cosmic Bowling at Hudson Lanes or go see the newest films at Hudson Cinema Plaza. They can also see visit Hudson and Grosvenor Museums, exploring their collections inside and the impressive Queen Anne and Italianate exteriors on the outside. For residents of faith, there are several churches conveniently located on and near East Main Street.
Hudson Lanes has family-friendly Cosmic Bowling and competitive adult and student leagues.
Hudson Cinema Plaza is a privately-owned small town theater where tickets are always just $5.

Low inventory encourages quick sales

Prices range between $136,000 on the lower end and $624,900 on the higher end. “The Housing market is minimal in Hudson,” says Blake Jenkins, a Realtor and Associate Broker with Century 21 Affiliated. Jenkins has seven years of experience and has sold several homes in the area. “There’s not a lot of houses on the market at a time, so they tend to go pretty quickly.”

Students in the area are zoned for the Hudson Public Schools District, which was given a C-plus grade by Niche. The district’s public high school, Hudson High School, is famous for its impressive football record. Winning 72 consecutive games across eight seasons from 1968-75, The Streak – as it’s known – still stands in the books of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. Students who would like to pursue higher education can attend colleges such as the University of Michigan, a top-performing institution located 63 miles away in Ann Arbor.

Michigan to Tennessee on U.S. 127
East Main Street and Munson Highway are two major roads that cut through the city. U.S. 127, which passes through the western border of the city, runs from the Lower Peninsula of Michigan to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Hudson is located not too far from a few major Midwestern cities as well. Toledo, Ohio is 54 miles east and Fort Wayne, Indiana is 88 miles southwest.
