New buildings and historic homes
Mastin Lake Park is a historic area that’s up and coming, just 5 miles north of Huntsville, which is known as “Rocket City.” Huntsville is where Saturn V, the launch vehicle that got a man on the moon, was built in the 1960s. Today, a 363-foot rocket towers over the neighborhood, for miles to see. “The area is growing; new homes and a new shopping complex are currently being built,” says Karnice Holloway, Broker/Owner of Holloway and Associates. Holloway has been in the real estate business and has lived in the area for over three decades. The neighborhood offers residents a walkable, tree-lined community with a suburban feel compared to surrounding areas. Alabama A&M University is a public college that’s a major employer for the area just 5 miles away. The Mazda Toyota Manufacturing Company is another major employer that’s 21 miles away.
Dutch colonials with small driveways
The neighborhood offers 1960s ranch-style and split-level homes with craftsman architecture ranging from $150,000 to $250,000 with lengthy, woodsy yards. There are also Dutch colonials ranging from $265,000 to $300,000 with small lawns and driveways.
Ranch homes are by far the most popular architecture in Mastin Lake Park.
You'll see several Split-Level homes sprinkled throughout the neighborhood.
