Jackson Township York comprises farmland and newer suburban homes
Jackson Township in York County remains a prominent farming hub today, just as it was in the early 19th century. Though more homes and suburban subdivisions have been developed in town over the years, Jackson's rural atmosphere hasn't changed. In addition to being surrounded by plentiful agricultural areas, residents often shop at flea markets that host local vendors. For more comprehensive shopping hauls, they can head to larger retail centers along U.S. Route 30, which brings drivers to York in a matter of minutes.
Single-family homes on farmland or suburban townhouses
Buyers can find newer Craftsman-style homes, Colonial Revivals and ramblers along winding, country roads lined with rolling hills and cornfields. Subdivisions like Jackson Heights have more of a suburban feel, with grid-patterned streets lined with compact townhouses. Homes range in price from $180,000 to $700,000, varying by age, square footage and lot size.
Highly-rated Spring Grove Area schools
Spring Grove Area School District covers Jackson Township and is ranked as the fourth-best school district in the York area. Spring Grove Area Intermediate, Spring Grove Area Middle and Spring Grove Area High School all receive B-plus ratings.

"It's also a convenient road because locals can stop at lots of chain restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings over there." About 10 miles north, West Manchester Town Center is the nearest mall, with department stores like Kohl's and Burlington.
