On-site pools and off-site preserves
Community amenities are central to social life in Bartram Springs. Residents are free to use the Junior Olympic-size pool complete with a commercial waterslide, as well as the tennis and volleyball courts. "The master-planned community hosts sporting events and soccer leagues. It's very family-oriented," says Tyler Fitz, a Jacksonville native and Realtor with Anderson Realty. About 5 miles east is the marshy peninsula of the Julington-Durbin Creek Preserve. The green space has almost 9 miles of shoreline to explore North Florida's unspoiled wetlands. The onsite trails are accessible to walkers, bicyclists and equestrians. The wildlife in this area includes bald eagles, wild turkeys and bobcats.Celebrate the seasons with neighbors
Seasonal events that draw the community together include the Spring Fling, where kids can hunt for Easter eggs, play in bounce houses and enjoy a variety of food trucks. A nine-week Summer Camp program starts in June, and during the summer job fair, residents can apply for positions like lifeguard and camp counselor within the Bartram Springs community.Ranch-style homes on Racetrack Road

"The neighborhood is located right outside the big commercial development Durbin Park. It has shopping, restaurants and a cinema that recently opened. It's a major hub," Fitz says. Here, shoppers can visit Publix and Walmart Supercenter. The local pizza place, Bala's Pizza, serves up New York-style pies, calzones and cannolis.A bikeable community
There are designated bike lanes on both sides of Bartram Springs Parkway and along Cherry Lake Drive, making the neighborhood bikeable for residents.
