Quiet, country community just 15 miles from Downtown Nashville
Located less than 15 miles northwest of Nashville, Joelton provides a bucolic setting just minutes from the hum of Music City. The small community sprawls out across the blend of farmlands and more suburban neighborhoods folded into the lush landscapes of central Tennessee. “Joelton has a rural feel, but it’s located close to the interstate,” says local expert Amanda Bell, broker and owner of At Home Realty. “It’s a great option for anyone who wants a country feel but not be too far outside Nashville.”
Farmlands and subdivisions on modest acreage
“Joelton has a mix of subdivisions and larger tracts of land, which gives it that rural feel,” Bell says, adding that typical property sizes range from one acre to five. “Larger lots are attractive to many moving out in the area.” Traditional ranch and raised ranch styles are scattered among classic two-story homes, with a few split levels within the mix. The median price for real estate here is $417,000 and ranges considerably depending on square footage and acreage. A small minimalistic ranch on five acres lists for $275,000, while a 4-bedroom cottage on 30-plus acres may garner up to $2.3 million. A considerable amount of undeveloped land is also available for those looking to build a custom dream home.

Proximity to Interstate 24
Bell notes that Joelton is especially attractive to people who travel back and forth to Nashville due to easy access to Interstate 24, which connects folks to the heart of Music City within 25 minutes. “The good thing is there are two main ways to get in and out,” she says. “Interstate 24 and Clarksville Highway run parallel, so it’s nice to have backup when there is traffic.” Nashville International Airport is also only 25 minutes from Joelton via Tennessee State Route 155.
