Keeping entertained and settling down in Riss Lake
With the towering Kauffman Stadium on one side and a rolling, award-winning golf course on the other, the neighborhood of Riss Lake is a balance between the urban and suburban, the loop and order of subdivisions and the excitement of the city. The majority of its space is taken up by residential streets, green space, and, of course, its namesake lake. But the residents of Riss Lake leave their homes and are just minutes from commercial shopping, dining, and the events of Kansas City. The downtown area is only 8 miles west, less than 15 minutes away by car. Riss Lake has become a viable destination for those looking to live near the city's heart, with just a little leeway from the busiest sections.
