Tudor influences to eclectic modern builds

Tiffany Hills and Coves North are in Platte County, north of the metropolitan center of KC, and they feature a relaxed vibe far from the hustle and bustle of downtown without sacrificing quick access to the city center. The neighborhood includes some recently developed subdivisions and quieter, older residential enclaves. The side streets off Marston Avenue are lined with single-floor residences marked by spacious, bright green front yards and thick shrubbery. Meanwhile, the roads branching off Green Hills and Old Tiffany Springs Roads are brimming with large, single-family residences, ranging from Tudor-influenced homes to eclectic, multi-floor, modern houses with several bedrooms. Coves North’s large homes and suburban feel contribute to its median home price of $370,000, well above the Kansas City average of $230,000.

Parks weave through nature

The neighborhood’s history comes alive at Barry-Platte Park, the site of the original town of Barry. A historical marker relates the story of this former town, deserted in 1843 as its settlers headed farther west via the Oregon Trail. Today, this park includes a playground, a community vegetable garden, and wide-open spaces for field sports. Line Creek Meadows Park provides hiking trails weaving through the thickly forested green area, and the neighboring Line Creek Trail offers up-close views of the creek’s waterfalls and flora.

Easy highway access and public transit

Coves North’s location near Highway 71 enables residents to access downtown Kansas City, a little more than 15 miles away. Kansas City International Airport is about 7 miles to the north or a roughly 7-minute drive. “There are plenty of people living here who commute to work downtown or at the airport,” says Kelly. Again, this convenience distinguishes Tiffany Hills and Coves North from some farther-afield Northland communities.

We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
