Rural fields and newer subdivisions along Washington Pike
Minutes from bustling Interstate 640 lies Corinth, an area of northeast Knoxville where the country meets suburbia on tree-lined country roads, green fields, modern subdivisions and nearby commercial amenities. “In that area, you have a lot of folks who want to be off the beaten path but still have access to the comforts of living in town,” says Kevin Wilson, a 24-year Knoxville resident and Realtor with Wallace Real Estate.
Old and new build single-family suburbs
The Corinth area features a mix of homes, many traditional-style single-family homes with colonial revival or craftsman influences, built from the 1950s through the 2000s. “A lot of the homes in that area were built after 2000,” Wilson says. “There are some newer subdivisions.” Many Corinth-area homes sit on a quarter acre or more of land and have interiors ranging from 1,000 to 5,700 square feet with two to five bedrooms. List prices tend to span from $200,000 to $730,000. According to Wilson, homes in the area sell well. “I’ve had a lot of listings there, and I haven’t had any issues getting them sold.”
Corinth has lots of farmland and the hilly ridges provide breathtaking views of the valley.

Commuting via Interstate 640 and Washington Pike
Given its semi-rural suburban vibe, Corinth is car-dependent. However, its proximity to main roadways, like Washington Pike and Interstate 640, provides residents easy access to convenient amenities and key Knoxville commuting destinations, including the Amazon Fulfillment Center, downtown Knoxville and the University of Tennessee, all of which are no more than 12 miles from home.
Local dining and shopping off I-640
The Diner at Twisters is a popular spot where folks can enjoy classic diner fare, like burgers with a side of tater tots, all-day breakfast and ice cream sundaes. “It’s a mom-and-pop place that locals really like,” Wilson says. More dining options, including fast casual, national chain and locally-owned eateries like Amigo’s & Beer Mexican Restaurant, surround the Amazon Fulfillment Center close to Interstate 640. Residents also have a choice of big box stores like Sam’s Club, Walmart Supercenter and Lowe’s Home Improvement, along with grocery stores like Food City and Aldi in that area. For even more shopping, New Harvest Centre, located nearby, is full of brand-name stores like Target and Old Navy.
