A walkable, wooded community in Knoxville
In the 1920s, a partnership between a local grocer and a construction worker led them to start a simple neighborhood among the woodland. This tiny community would eventually become Harrill Hills, a laid-back area near Fountain City and a mere 8 miles from downtown Knoxville. Harrill Hills retains the area's original beauty, with tall trees shading the homes and gardens, bringing colorful life to front yards. The atmosphere is quiet but friendly, as residents are often seen walking their dogs or chatting as they go about their days. “It’s a walkable community with many historic homes,” says Emily Golec, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty and Knoxville native. “Harrill Hills is very family-friendly.” Graced by serene streets and the natural beauty of maintained green space, it is an excellent pocket neighborhood deserving of attention.
