Though La Feria is a rural neighborhood, the people here are very community oriented, and many neighbors see one another while out shopping, eating or playing at the various playgrounds and the public pool. Compared to much of Texas, housing here is usually priced on the lower end, but many new constructions might be the reason for rising costs. Farming and agriculture are also important here, so with a community garden and several farms, residents will get glimpses of livestock and horses. The La Feria Independent School District is well-rated and a big part of this close-knit community.
New constructions and established ranch styles
Contemporary new constructions are beginning to emerge in La Feria. Well-established ranch-style homes in town can cost between $150,000 and $250,000 but generally have less than an acre of land. Many lots and former farmland are for sale in the area, so there are opportunities for development and customizing a dream home.
