Much of the available housing in Alberhill was built in the last two decades. Newer homes typically come in the form of modern ranch styles and modern contemporary two-story builds. More established styles include single-story Spanish Revival homes complete with cathedral ceilings and mission-style clay roofs, along with traditional two-story homes that feature similar Spanish Revival accents. Interstate 15 is the primary route throughout the area, and residents can use it to commute seven miles to Lake Elsinore in about 10 minutes. Riverside and Los Angeles are also accessible via the highway, 30 and 65 miles away, respectively. “It may be quiet, but it’s still a really popular spot for commuters,” says Bernal. “Particularly for people commuting into Orange County, it’s a great spot that’s more affordable and not too far out.” The Ontario International Airport is just under 30 miles from the community.
Plenty to choose from in nearby Corona and Lake Elsinore
While Alberhill is almost entirely residential, it is still within a short commute from several commercial centers. Just a few miles down the 15, the Outlets at Lake Elsinore are home to a number of brand-name retailers like GAP, along with national chains such as Dairy Queen. “It’s just as much – maybe even a little bit more – a part of Corona as it is Lake Elsinore, and that’s where I usually go,” says Bernal. “Corona’s Con Amore is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole area, and The Shops at Dos Logos has a bunch of retail and dining spots.” Sitting on Lake Elsinore just five miles away, Bobber on the Lake is a popular bar and grill serving up burgers and barbecue with views of the water and regular live music. Stater Bros. Markets is the go-to spot for groceries and everyday essentials.
