Popular rural area near Portland
Stafford, 11 miles from Portland, is a highly sought-after rural area near modern amenities. "Stafford is a hot, hot market right now," says Terry Sprague, the owner and principal broker at Lake Oswego's LUXE luxury real estate agency. "The type of lifestyle you get here has been on people's bucket lists for a long time." Stafford is an unincorporated area in Clackamas County near West Linn and Lake Oswego. The region is comprised of farmland and vast swathes of greenery, with the Tualatin River running near its borders. While there are a few locations in the area where locals may pick up necessities, residents must drive a few minutes out of town for more commercial shopping centers. "It's a uniquely convenient place," Sprague says. "You feel like you're in the middle of the country, but you're only five minutes away from a Costco and a Target."
