Canyon Park, Lakehills' natural sanctuary, beckons outdoor enthusiasts. The sanctuary offers tours to come and interact with the animals.

College credit courses through dual enrollment at Bandera High School
Local children can attend Hill Country Elementary School, which has a C-minus Niche rating. Students may continue Bandera Middle School with a B-minus rating; for high school, students can go to Bandera High School, which also has a B-minus and offers a dual enrollment track for students to start taking college courses.
Hill Country Elementary School is located in Pipe Creek, Texas and is part of the Bandera ISD.
