The Holmes Street Area is right in the heart of the greater Lansing area, bounded by Lansing’s museums and Capitol Complex, East Lansing’s Michigan State University campus and the winding banks of both the Grand River and Red Cedar River.

Thanks to efforts from the area Rotary clubs and other organizations, the Red Cedar River Water Trail’s 25 miles are dotted with kayak launch sites to conveniently explore the river from its confluence with the Grand River all the way east to Williamston outside of the greater Lansing area.
