Long-range planning by the city council is underway for transportation and other infrastructure improvements. “East Las Vegas is more affordable with lots of new builds and custom homes,” says Pilar Nizama, a Realtor at Signature Real Estate Group with 19 years of experience. “It’s by the foothill of the Sunrise Mountain and you can see the view.”

Townhouses and single-family homes are distinguished by low-maintenance yards, open floor plans and tile floors that stand up to the desert climate. Many houses include garages and off-street parking. Ranch styles, cottages and New Traditionals range between $200,000 and $400,000, with condos and townhouses listing around $120,000 and $250,000. Villa Borega, which is a 55 and older community with manufactured homes, is usually priced under $100,000.

Rancho High School has a B, and is a magnet school with programs in pre-medicine and Private Pilot, and Aerospace Engineering. Harry Reid International Airport is about 9 miles away, and those heading to Los Angeles may take Interstate 15. MountainView Hospital is approximately 13 miles west via U.S. Route 95.
