Metro Atlanta's second oldest city

Located approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, Gwinnett County’s Lawrenceville is a slow-paced suburban neighborhood known for top-rated schools like the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science & Technology, and for its history as the second oldest city in metro Atlanta. As of Spring 2024, “Lawrenceville’s currently witnessing a surge in positive commercial and residential development,” says Allyson Harris, a Gwinnett County resident and Real Estate Professional, “so there’s been an increase in the city's overall value.” Within this traditional bedroom community, residents can enjoy a local downtown dining scene , the Aurora Theatre for live performances, and baseball games at Coolray Field Ball Park.
