Ledgeview has plenty of space to grow its population
Ledgeview combines new housing with space to expand on the edges of Green Bay. While much of Green Bay proper and nearby villages like Allouez and De Pere have limited space for expansion, Ledgeview’s open space creates plenty of opportunity for the village of 9,000 to grow. “It used to be mainly farmland, but now it’s really filling in,” says real estate agent Jill Coenen with Century 21 Ace Realty. “They are definitely adding to the growth of the De Pere area.” While in this growth state, Ledgeview still depends on nearby villages for things like schools, groceries, amenities and jobs.
Diverse housing options and price points offered in Ledgeview
Most of Ledgeview’s housing stock was built in the past 30 years, with new construction as recent as 2025 and few homes built before the ’90s. “We’ve got a couple of contractors that start with a cornfield and end with a neighborhood,” Coenen says about builders like Radue and Bartolazzi. Different builders also lead to different neighborhood styles, some with sidewalks, others featuring lawns and manicured gardens that run straight to the curb. Ranch-style homes and condos start around $380,000 and reach up to $470,000. New Traditionals and contemporary new construction with two- or three-car garages range from $570,000 to $900,000. Some custom builds and new construction goes for $1 million to $1.4 million.
Three public school districts zoned for the Ledgeview community
Three school districts serve Ledgeview. The Unified School District of De Pere, which encompasses most of the community, receives an A from Niche. Upperclassmen attending De Pere High School can take early college credit courses through nearby institutions like the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Fox Valley Technical College and St. Norbert College. B-rated Green Bay Area Public School District includes the northeast corner of Ledgeview, while students living in the southeast corner attend Denmark School District, which receives a B-plus.
Parks along the East River and trails through Fonferek's Glen
The East River goes through the western part of Ledgeview. Ledgeview Park sits along it, spanning 66 acres with a playground, baseball diamond and a trail with a bridge over the river. About a mile of the East River Trail goes through Ledgeview, linking pedestrians and bicyclists with other communities like Allouez. Ledgeview Golf Course’s 18-hole course and driving range are open to the public. On the village's eastern side, Fonferek’s Glen is 75 acres of prairie and rock formations. One trail leads to a 30-foot waterfall and a natural stone archway.
Casual and rustic dining options available in Ledgeview
In the morning, locals stop in Toast and Co. for coffee to go or a sit-down breakfast. Greystone Ale House is a casual spot with 20-plus TVs so patrons can catch the Packers play. Bleu Restaurant and Lounge has a rustic atmosphere and a menu featuring steak and seafood. Piggly Wiggly is the village’s sole grocery store, but Target and Costco are both about 3 miles away in Bellevue.
