Levittown living with Interstate 95 access
With Mill Creek flowing lazily along the east side of the neighborhood and New Falls Road teeming with business along the west, Plumbridge blends a calm suburban atmosphere with the convenience of amenities on hand. While some of the residential streets on the north side of the suburb maintain a quiet air, the south side bumps up to Interstate 95, which partly explains why Plumbridge has a sound Score of 75 out of 100.
Plumbridge is located 25 miles outside of Philadelphia in Levittown, what is considered today to be the first modern American suburb. In 1951, Levitt & Sons mass-produced more than 17,000 homes in a span of six years, marketing them to veterans returning home from the war. The town was able to develop so rapidly because the real estate development company stuck to six basic tract home models.
Plumbridge is a commuters dream, with local access to highways and trains.

In addition to the local grocer, Giant, Newport Plaza is lined with discount department stores, medical clinics, a pharmacy, banks and restaurants. Pier Sushi and Hibachi serves Japanese cuisine, and Taste N Take has Halal food. On the other side of Plumbridge, Hoagie Xpress is a popular cheesesteak takeout spot. South of the neighborhood, Durham Delicatessen is a locally adored deli where residents can pop in for a quick sandwich or order a large party tray. Just down the street from there, Broad Street Brewing, part of the Bucks County Ale Trail, offers a variety of craft beers made in-house.
Residents can venture 3 miles south for more retail and dining options in the Bristol Park shopping area, which is also home to Lower Bucks Hospital. About 3 miles to the east of Plumbridge, Bristol Amish Market brings in a crowd to peruse fresh produce, food vendor stands and handmade furniture. Community events at Bristol Township Municipal Complex
Just 2 miles south on the other side of the interstate, Bristol Township Municipal Complex is an expansive outdoor recreational space for the community. “They just redid that whole complex a couple of years ago,” says Christine Jandovitz, a Levittown area local and Realtor with Keller Williams Langhorne. “They added a new splash pad, too. It’s really nice.” Along with this summertime addition, the park space also has athletic fields, a fenced-in playground and a paved walking path that circles the complex. In June and July, Bristol Township Municipal Complex hosts a concert series, which draws in a big crowd. More events held at the park include a Touch-A-Truck festival, a Fall Festival, a Thanksgiving Holiday parade and a tree lighting ceremony.
