Large acreage farms, with a few smaller homes mixed in
Most properties in Loradale are established horse farms on 50 or more acres. “Based on my knowledge, the ability to buy a house and small acreage out there is probably pretty limited,” says Rita Jones, a farmer and Realtor with Keller Williams. “Out in that rural area, it’s predominantly larger acreage farms.” Some of the farms here have deep history, with Greek Revival and Colonial Revival houses dating back to the 1800s. You can also find properties on smaller lots. “They're more in the acre size,” says Scott Buchanan, a Realtor with Century 21 Advantage Realty who’s sold homes in the area for around four years. “Single-family, mostly ranch.”
