These homes typically come as ranch-style and bi-level homes and have sold for between $180,000 and $350,000. “You’ll get more land in Southeastern Hills than in some of the newer subdivisions,” Elder says. Townhouses are also prevalent in the neighborhood and have sold for around $150,000. Many neighborhood streets in Southeastern Hills feature sidewalks with mature trees overhanging. As for crime, Southeastern Hills was given a 5 out of 10 Crime Score by the CAP Index, slightly higher than the national average.

Athletic fields, trails and a skate park
For recreation, residents have access to a few notable parks. Gainesway Park, right behind Tates Creek High School, features spaces for various athletic events. Residents can also use the trail in the park to get their steps in while checking out the wildlife around the beautiful pond. Kirklevington Park is only a few minutes away from Southeastern Hills. From baseball and soccer fields to basketball and tennis courts, Kirklevington is a robust recreational space for sports fans. It is also home to Lexington’s only pickleball court complex. The walking trail offers residents a bit of peace from their busy schedules. Students attend Fayette County Public Schools
Students living in Southeastern Hills attend the Fayette County Public Schools. In that district, students start at Tates Creek Elementary before moving on to Tates Creek Middle School, both of which earned B grades from Niche. For high school, students move on to Tates Creek High, which earned a B-minus grade from Niche. Tates Creek is highlighted by its decorated athletic program, which has won 63 individual or team Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Championships. Residents looking for private school options can look at Trinity Christian Academy, which services Pre-K through 12th grade and earned an A grade from Niche.
