East Campus
Early 20th-century home styles define East Campus
East Campus, just south of the university, features about 180 single-family homes. They are mostly bungalows, cottages, small ranch-style homes or colonial-inspired two-story homes. Professor’s Row – the area along Holdrege Street between 33rd and 48th streets – features historic homes built between the 1880s and the 1950s. Many homes have been owned by the same family for generations, says Josh Beyer, Realtor and owner of Capital City Realty Group, helping connect current residents with the neighborhood's history. Bungalows from the 1920s have recently sold from $114,000 to $150,000. Small ranch-style homes from the 1950s can be found from about $150,000 to $200,000. Colonial-influenced homes on Professor’s Row have recently sold from about $340,000 to $400,000.East Campus is just about six miles from Lincoln Airport
StarTran is the city’s bus system, with six stops along 40th Street, Holdrege Street and 48th Street in the neighborhood. Running on compressed natural gas, StarTran has gained attention for reducing maintenance and fuel costs. Lincoln's airport is about six miles from the center of the neighborhood, about a 15-minute ride along Cornhusker Highway (Alternate Interstate 80).Eclectic shops and eateries appeal to college students and families

The Fish Store is Lincoln’s oldest aquarium supply store and offers habitats, freshwater and saltwater fish and food and other supplies. Fazoli’s is a fast-service Italian food chain often found in college towns. Popular menu items include pasta entrees, subs, salads and pizza. Sunbear Discount Store is a locally owned clearance store that offers everything from furniture and books to toys and clothing. UNL Dairy Store has been a fixture in East Campus since 1917, selling handmade dairy products as well as premium quality meats and cheeses in small batches or in gift boxes. While neighbors head outside the boundaries of East Campus to find retailers such as Urban Casual, T.J. Maxx and Target, they don’t have to go far; all three are just off 48th Street and R Street.Small parks welcome neighbors with bike trails and playgrounds
Named in honor of the East Campus Community Organization, small Ecco Park is bisected by a paved trail connecting bikers and runners from 47th to 48th Street and Dudley Street to Holdrege Street.
