Granada High School has an A rating and offers a variety of after-school programs for students, like Artificial Intelligence Club, Hip Hop Club, and Indian Culture Club.

First Street Alehouse has one of the largest collections of beer cans in the U.S., with over 6,000 flattened cans hanging in picture frames inside the restaurant. The area is also home to clothing boutiques like Vault California and Main Street Designs. Downtown Livermore is a mile from the neighborhood and has grocery stores, Trader Joe’s and Lucky. Livermore is especially known for its vineyards, and there are several within a few miles of Shadowbrook. “Even if you don’t partake, they’re beautiful to look at,” says Boerher. Cuda Ridge Wines and Las Positas Vineyards are just outside the neighborhood's east side, providing views of grapevines and easy access to wine tastings.
