Single-family and manufactured homes north of Kelso
Lexington’s tranquil cul-de-sacs are lined with sidewalks. “Lexington’s on flat land and has a big dike by the Cowlitz River,” says John Erickson, RE/MAX real estate agent with over two decades of real estate experience. Looking west, homeowners have views of evergreen-covered hills. Compared to neighboring Beacon Hill, Lexington has newer homes and smaller subdivisions. Yards are tidy; some have chain-link or wooden fences. Homes tend to be ranch-style or New Traditional. Prices generally range from $340,000 to $460,000, which is average for the Longview metro area. At the northern tip of the neighborhood, a 55+ senior community has manufactured homes between $38,000 and $115,000. According to the CAP Index, Lexington scores a 2 out of 10 for crime, which is below the national average of 4.Convenient access to Interstate 5
Portland International Airport is 50 miles south down I-5, and Seattle is to the north. Divers can also take Westside Highway, which runs north-to-south through the neighborhood. It leads to the nearest hospital, PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, about 6 miles south. Additionally, local buses stopping along Westside Highway take commuters to the Longview Transit Center.Public school and Christian education options

Lexington students may then proceed to Huntington Middle, rated C-plus and Kelso High School, rated B-minus. Alternatively, Journey Christian School – formerly called Kelso-Longview Adventist School – serves Kindergarten through Grade 8. At this private school, students and teachers enjoy a four-day school week with Fridays off.Athletic fields and more at Riverside Park
Riverside Park is located east of Westside Highway where the Cowlitz River bends. From its outdoor workout equipment to its paved walking path, Riverside Park has options for both high and low-impact exercising. This expansive park includes an outdoor sports complex complete with baseball diamonds, soccer fields and courts for tennis and basketball. Kids can also climb on the old-growth maple trees or the playground while parents gather at the large event pavilion. Fishing on the Cowlitz River requires a Washington Department of Fishing and Wildlife license. Anglers can find steelhead in the summer and winter, Chinook salmon in the spring and Coho salmon in the fall.Shopping small in Lexington
