Quiet neighborhood near Longview’s biggest park and shopping center
Directly across the road from Lake Sacajawea Park is Northlake-Corman, a well-established Longview neighborhood with shady trees and a suburban feel. “People love living there. It’s so close to town, shopping, churches, Lake Sacajawea – and that’s what people like about it,” says Kristin Cheatley, Realtor/Broker at River Ridge Real Estate and area native. Route 4, also known as Ocean Beach Highway, makes up the southern border of the neighborhood. It is also Longview’s main thoroughfare. Homeowners along this road have the quickest commute to Lake Sacajawea Park; however, they also experience more noise between the busy road and the train tracks that parallel it. Sometimes referred to as the Terry/Taylor area, referencing two of the neighborhood streets, Northlake-Corman is about a mile from the center of Longview.

Single-level homes under $475,000
Neighborhood streets and lawns are spotted with flowers, manicured shrubbery and a mix of tall and short trees. Streets are enclosed and loop around in a circle; some have sidewalks, though the dead-end Corman Road does not. Corman Road has privacy, thanks to its tree cover, and its homes either hide behind tall trees and shrubbery or have no front lawns at all. Properties west of Pacific Way have more open spaces and wider streets. Twentieth century ranch-style homes dominate the neighborhood. Prices generally range from $355,000 to $475,000. “People like to downsize in that neighborhood," Cheatley says. “There are a ton of one-level homes with well-maintained lots. And they have a big garage sale the first weekend in August.” At the annual neighborhood event, driveways are full of secondhand household items like rocking chairs, wooden tables and baby cribs for shoppers to browse.
