The community has all-brick ranch-style homes on nearly every street. Cape Cods and two-story Colonial Revivals add variety. Many homes have midcentury details such as hardwood floors, eat-in kitchens and fireplaces, while renovated properties often come with open living spaces. Driveways and attached garages are standard, and spacious lots with fenced backyards are common. Prices typically range from the low $300,000s to the mid-$400,000s, with a median sales price in the high $300,000s.
“There are about 800 homes here, and neighbors are very close-knit,” says longtime Mayor John Vaughan. “In fact, there’s a lot of multi-generational families. Many adult children chose to stay in Graymoor-Devondale and buy their own homes. All my kids have homes here.”
