Lower Towamensing is a rural enclave close to Palmerton and main thoroughfares
Lower Towamensing almost entirely encircles the borough of Palmerton in eastern Pennsylvania. A rural swath of land dotted with stately colonial-style homes on a few main roads in the Pocono Mountains, residents are drawn to the community for its air of solitude. “I love living here because it’s peaceful,” says Laurie Vincent, a Realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Valley Partners and resident of Lower Towamensing. “There are a lot of great restaurants and activities for people that love the outdoors. There is so much to do and so much to see out there, but the main thing is the seclusion. You’re away from the city, but you’re still close to everything.” That proximity puts locals a quick drive from Palmerton’s main drag, which is lined with an array of restaurants, and from main routes and interstates.
