Macomb Corners Park features a whimsical play structure with slides that resemble tree trunks and tower canopies reminiscent of the iconic Berenstain Bears' home, making it a delightful place for children to play. There are five prominent golf courses in Macomb Township for golf enthusiasts to practice their golf swing, including the Hickory Hollow Golf Club. Main thoroughfares such as Romeo Plank Road and North Avenue run the length of the community and lead to residential roads, which reveal sought-after subdivision neighborhoods like West Park Estates. The community is mostly comprised of one- and two-story craftsman homes with brick and stone details, as well as traditional ranch-style homes. Prices start around $290,000 and reach up to $700,000. The Macomb Township Community Recreation Center provides indoor recreation and community events. Throughout the year, this 92,000-square-foot facility invites residents and non-residents to enjoy the aquatic center with its spray features, lazy river and hot tub, as well as fitness rooms for a vigorous workout. The recreation center is a popular venue for hosting birthday parties and also serves as host to numerous annual festivities including the Turkey Hop. During the Turkey Hop, neighbors of all ages take to the dance floor and then bid farewell to the Halloween season by smashing pumpkins. Additionally, the community is just a few miles from Anchor Bay, a vibrant waterfront area with fishing and boating opportunities.
Public schools receive A-minus scores ands have diverse clubs
Macomb Township is committed to providing quality education to its residents. Families with school-age children can choose a selection of public and private schools. Cheyenne Elementary School and Seneca Middle School, which both earned an overall Niche score of an A-minus, provide a strong educational foundation before students ascend to Dakota High School. Dakota High also earns an overall Niche score of an A-minus, with academics, teachers and sports receiving the highest accolades. The school offers a wide variety of clubs and activities for students including the Science Olympiad, Gamers Club and numerous foreign language honor societies.
