Robertson is a neighborhood in Manchester that's roughly split into residential and commercial.
A neighborhood convenient to employment, shopping and the highway
If there’s any neighborhood in Manchester where residents only need to drive 10 minutes or less to work yet can easily pick up groceries and dinner on the way home, it’s Robertson. Robertson can roughly be split into two, with a residential half and a commercial half. The latter includes shopping centers, restaurants and industrial parks. In short, Robertson keeps residents close to both where they might be making money and where they might choose to spend it. And new businesses are continuing to come to town. “Up in that area, they’re developing a lot,” says Norm Hamilton, a former resident of Manchester and Realtor with NextHome who has been selling homes in Greater Hartford for almost 20 years. “You also have Interstate 84 right there for going east and west, and I-91 for going north and south. You can pretty much get just about everywhere you need to go.”
Detached homes, duplexes, condos and more
Housing styles differ across subdivisions. Some homes along Elvree Street show Cape Cod influence, with a dormer window peeking out of one side of the roof and a second-story addition on the other side. Other models more closely resemble bungalows, with a single, centered dormer. On streets that branch off Union Street, homebuyers will find Colonial Revival duplexes with between one and three stories, as well as the occasional ranch- and raised ranch-style home. Main Street and Tolland Turnpike offer an eclectic mix of Cape Cod, Colonial Revival and ranch-style homes, even with an occasional Italianate or Carpenter Gothic home. Nearer to Oakland Street, condos and townhouses are common. Most residential streets have sidewalks on one side of the road. Single-family detached homes and duplexes typically sell for between $250,000 and $350,000, while townhouses and condos go for between $175,000 and $275,000.
You can find homes in just minutes from all of the conveniences of Manchester.
Homes with three bedrooms and three bathrooms are around $425,000 in Robertson.
Homes on Sherwood Circle are well maintained and have condensed yards.

When it comes to restaurants, residents will find some familiar faces like Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse, but also a few independent establishments. When it comes to handcrafted burgers and craft brews, Artisanal Burger Company is a local favorite, holding a trivia night each Tuesday. If residents can’t get enough Chinese or Japanese food, then Hibachi Buffet is the place to go, offering lunch and dinner buffets.
