Access to everything just outside of downtown Manchester
Less than 1 mile east of downtown Manchester, the Hanover Hill community offers a more spread-out space for homes without sacrificing access to the heart of the city. Here, older Colonial Revival houses dot the streets of the community, just a short walk or drive from amenities found in both urban and suburban environments. Residents can dine at local eateries, book tee times at the municipal golf course and attend established schools. “It really has everything within a 5-minute drive, from dining to parks to schools and even the highway,” says Olga Tkachuk, a Realtor with Realty One Group Next Level who has lived in Manchester for 10 years. “And if you feel like walking, it’s a 15-minute walk right down the hill straight into downtown.”
Stately homes in Hanover Hill
Hanover Hill is situated just far enough from downtown Manchester to allow for more spacious homes and yards along its suburban streets. There are ornate Queen Anne styles and Colonial Revivals with columns and porches, as well as more modest Cape Cods. Many homes here were built in the early 1900s. “Lots of the homes are multi-generational homes that would go for a lot, but no one wants to sell their homes,” Tkachuk says. Prices tend to range from around $300,000 to $700,000.

Derryfield Park and Derryfield Country Club
Derryfield Country Club, founded in 1932, is a public 18-hole course that hosts multiple annual tournaments. There is also a restaurant and an indoor golf simulator, so the course still welcomes guests during the colder months. Derryfield Park has a renovated playset and greenspace next to the high school's athletic fields, which are also available to residents. Tkachuk says the park hosts several events throughout the year, including marathons and yoga in the park, which is popular among older residents. The historic Weston Observatory, built in 1896 stands proudly at 66 feet tall, and the surrounding area offers panoramic city views.
Laidback eateries and proximity to downtown dining
Jerome's Deli is one of the few dining options in the neighborhood, with rotating soup and sandwich specials along with a menu that hasn't changed in 19 years.
