Northview Waterpark, a public swimming pool with twisting water slides, a diving board and a lazy river, is one of the closest outdoor recreation sites. The park also offers concessions, picnic tables and deck chairs. Bordering Blue Hills to the south, the Manhattan Country Club has an 18-hole, par 70 golf course. With a community of over 400 members, the club offers a fitness center, available 24/7, and two restaurants— Club XIX and Pineview Room. La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, within the Blue Hills Shopping Center, is best known for its margaritas, fajitas and vibrant interior. “La fiesta is great,” says Ward. “They do half-priced margaritas on Monday nights.” Another neighborhood staple is Ana’s Burger Shack, a counter-serve spot with an old-school drive-in feel. Near the Manhattan Crossing shopping mall, 2 miles southeast of the neighborhood, are a Hy-Vee Grocery Store and a Walmart Supercenter.
La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant is a popular lunch spot known for its vibrant interior and menu.
McGraws Bar and Grill serves up American favorites, has a live music, Keno, pool and yard games.

Travel in Blue Hills
Blues Hills is about 2.5 miles north of downtown Manhattan along Highway 24, known locally as Tuttle Creek Boulevard. The ATA Bus runs through Blue Hills, servicing one bus stop along North Manhattan Avenue, with routes to downtown Manhattan and surrounding areas. Cyclists can take a ride on North Manhattan Avenue on a bike lane that extends to Kimball Avenue. The Manhattan Regional Airport is about 9 miles southwest.
