Founded in 1898 with a single bookstore serving Kansas State Agricultural College students, Aggieville has developed into a vibrant collegiate shopping district. Stores include On the Wildside, with the tagline “A Store for the Open-Minded.” Nico’s Little Italy has traditional favorites like chicken parmesan and baked ravioli. Happy Hippie offers a health bar with breakfast burritos, smoothies and acai bowls.Manhattan Town Center, on Third Street, houses Dillards, JC Penney and an IMAX Movie Theater.
