Stagg Hill Park and the Stagg Hill Golf Club
Surrounded by a thick canopy of red cedars, Stagg Hill Park has a playground, athletic fields, picnic tables and a walking trail. A little farther out, the Stagg Hill Golf Club is an 18-hole regulation course open for public play. Just across Kansas Highway 18 is Warner Memorial Park, full of undeveloped fields surrounded by woods threaded with trails. The park also features a disc golf course, a shelter and barbeque grills. Sunrise Cemetery is at the heart of the neighborhood, occupying about 80 acres.
Stagg Hill Golf Course has a nice driving range so you can warn up before tee time.

A highly-rated school district
The Manhattan-Ogden Unified School District No. 383, ranked No.1 in Best School Districts in Riley County from Niche, serves the residents of Stagg Hill. “We've got really good schools here,” says Hill. Students may enroll in any school within the district, but parents must provide transportation to schools outside their attendance zone. Students can begin their education at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School and Eisenhower Middle; both scored a B-plus on Niche. They can continue their education at Manhattan High School, which received an A. Manhattan High offers both concurrent and dual enrollment through Manhattan Area Technical College and Kansas State University.
MHS Booster Club supports athletic teams, school clubs/organizations & school spirit activities.
Manhattan Catholic School mission is to provide an excellent, traditional Catholic education.

Locally-owned dining spots
Though most dining and retail can be found 2.5 miles northeast in Downtown Manhattan, Stagg Hill is home to a few restaurants of its own. El Tapatio Mexican Restaurant is a popular spot for margaritas, casual Mexican food and daily lunch specials. El Tapatio also has a bar and patio seating. North of the neighborhood is Sparks Burger, a locally-owned and locally-sourced fast-food joint. This restaurant serves all the greasy spoon classics while also providing a few unique creations of its own, like the hot dog burger. For shopping, there’s a Target on Commons Place about a mile north of the neighborhood.
Sparks is a greta place to grab a hamburger for lunch or dinner.
You never know what you will find on the shelves at the Dusty Book Shelve.

Travel in Stagg Hill and beyond
Kansas Highway 18 borders the neighborhood to the north, providing direct access to downtown Manhattan. There are several bus stops along Stagg Hill Road and Allison Avenue, with a fixed route to Ogden along the K-18 Connector, which runs from 6:10 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cyclists can take a trek along the bike lane on Stagg Hill Road. The Manhattan Regional Airport is about 5.5 miles southwest of Stagg Hill, and Fort Riley is about 15 miles southwest of the neighborhood.
