Clubs for every interest at Marengo Community High School

Marengo lacks public transportation, so residents here will need to rely more on their cars to get around. State Street runs north to south, connecting the residential areas with downtown Marengo, where residents can explore the shops and restaurants there. Marengo's fun eateries through the town center

In downtown Marengo, Marengo Café offers all the classic breakfast favorites along with sandwiches. The café gets all of its ingredients from local farmers markets and producers, so its menu is more seasonal. When entering Niko’s Pointers Saloon, residents will feel like they’ve been transported to the Wild West with the décor and setup and can enjoy burgers and beers. Flatlander Market opening 1986 and offers sandwiches and soups, with a weekly special and a featured dessert. The awning and sign outside make it feel like a 50s diner. Sullivans Foods is Marengo’s grocery store, located by the library.

Quaint, shaded green spaces in Marengo's parks

Just north of downtown Marengo, residents can stroll through Calvin Spencer Park, where the trees shade the sidewalks and lead to a pavilion at the center.
