A residential landscape outside of Louisville
Along the Henry Watterson Expressway, less than 10 miles outside of Louisville, the Avondale-Melbourne Heights neighborhood mostly consists of single-family homes on residential streets. Those streets are, in turn, also lined with towering trees that blaze vibrant shades of autumn when fall arrives. The quiet streets are complemented by a pair of major roads, which give the area proximity to downtown Louisville and a quick commute to the city for residents. “It’s a really nice neighborhood,” says Bob Sokoler, owner of the Sokoler Team at RE/MAX Properties East. “It’s quaint, quiet and convenient to the expressway, which gets people where they need to go within about 15 minutes.” The four-lane Taylorsville Road, designated as Route 155, entirely bisects the neighborhood and links it with Louisville by way of Interstate 64.
