The Transit Authority of River City (TARC) operates buses that run along Taylorsville Road.

Students can begin at Goldsmith Elementary School, rated at a C by Niche. Thomas Jefferson Middle School follows, scoring a C-minus from Niche. Both Goldsmith Elementary and Thomas Jefferson Middle offer student-to-teacher ratios of 14 to 1. Seneca High School is one of several high schools in the Jefferson County Public Schools district. It scores a C-plus with Niche and has been recognized for its agricultural education by the FFA.
