An island setting with the convenience of a big city
For a chance to live on an island off the Florida coast, a move to the Keys would come to mind for most. However, residents of Venetian Islands get the joys of island life within spitting distance of downtown Miami. It is home to bike-filled streets, spacious parks and easy water access, allowing homeowners close-up views of Biscayne Bay’s native wildlife, all from the comfort of their own backyard.
Many bike enthusiasts use the Venetian Island causeway to exercise.

Strolls through Venetian Causeway Park
Residents enjoy morning strolls along the trails of Venetian Causeway Park, located on the neighborhood's west side. Alongside its trails are plenty of grassy spots for a sunset picnic paired with Miami skyline views. Toward the east is Belle Isle Park. This small public green space features a shaded playground to explore and plenty of greenery. Belle Isle is the only Venetian Island that wasn’t wholly man-made, having formerly been a mangrove hammock.

The calm streets of Venetian Islands
The Venetian Causeway is a two-lane road that connects the islands to the mainland and the famous Miami Beach, working as the neighborhood’s mainline. Thanks to its established sidewalks, “it is a very pedestrian-friendly neighborhood,” explains Anna Sherrill, a community resident who has also sold homes in the neighborhood as an agent with One Sotheby’s International Realty Inc. “I always see locals biking around.” Most of the community’s condos are located on Belle Isle, ranging from $649,000 to $2.4 million, depending on size and condition. The remaining islands are home to free-standing houses built in the mid to late 20th century, primarily seen in contemporary and Mediterranean styles, like much of Miami Beach. These homes come in a wide price range, from $3.5 million to $40 million, depending on size and amenities.
Residents of Venetian Islands enjoy walking and running by the sign for Biscayne Island.

After a day out and about, an outdoor dining experience with sunset views can be had at Lido Bayside, which serves fresh Mediterranean fare.

Venetian Causeway traffic
The Venetian Causeway works as a connecting link between the mainland and Miami Beach. It runs under a constant flow most of the time, making traveling through the area a breeze. However, during rush hour, residents can expect to experience a bit of traffic when commuting home for work. More specifically, during significant events held at venues along Miami Beach, the mainline is known to get backed up as attendees travel to and from along the two-lane road.
