Trinity's many subdivisions, all in a central location

The Trinity area is made up of many smaller subdivisions, including Trinity Meadows, Trinity Estates and Trinity West. There are a total of around 315 houses. “Homes have higher rooflines, and they all have bigger bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as bigger lots,” says Kerri Payne James, owner of The Agency KPJ, who sells all over Midland. The wide paved streets are lined with sidewalks, giving the neighborhood some walkability. Despite its more residential, suburban feel, the area is close to major roads, shopping centers and schools. Downtown Midland is around 5 miles from Trinity.

Trinity Park's new playground and events downtown at Centennial Park

Across from Parker Elementary, Trinity Park is a small green space with a curving walking trail and a practice field for baseball or softball. Its new playground was built in 2021 and has a Native American theme designed to honor the city’s history. Centennial Park is the city’s most utilized park. Its amenities include a dog park, splash pad and game tables. As downtown has grown in popularity over the past few years, the park has become the location for community events like Mac's St. Patrick's Day Music Fest and Christmas in the Park.

Midland's only mall and nearby shopping plazas

A few miles outside of the neighborhood, Midland Park Mall is an enclosed shopping center with Dick's Sporting Goods, Dillard’s and JCPenney. “You will see a full parking lot, but that’s because there’s a lot of people here and only one mall,” says Braun Burkholder, Realtor with The Agency KPJ, who has lived in Midland for close to 40 years. There are more plazas and chain restaurants along U.S. Route 250. To the neighborhood’s east, Imperial Shopping Center has an HEB and local restaurants, including Tokyo 1 and Murray’s Deli.

Midland amenities within 10 to 15 minutes

Trinity is a primarily car-dependent neighborhood, and drivers get around the city on Route 250, also called The Loop. It intersects with Interstate 20, which goes east from Reeves County to South Carolina. The Midland Odessa Urban Transit District provides public transportation known as EZ-Rider buses, with stops along roads surrounding the neighborhood. James says that one of the best parts of living in Midland is how shopping, dining and other amenities can be reached in 10 to 15 minutes, no matter where in the city someone is. Midland International Air and Space Port is around a 13-mile drive on The Loop. Midland Memorial Hospital is around 4 miles away.
